Making "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" (LOVE Version)
Behind-The-Scenes on The Beatles LOVE at Cirque Du Soleil
In the Spring of 2016, LOVE's creative team assembled to refresh the show in preparation for the 10th anniversary performance in July of that year. They decided to re-stage While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
They used a string arrangement especially composed by George Martin in 2006, performed at Air Studios in London - the last string session George Martin ever did.
"My responsibility in adding music to this weighed very heavily on me." - George Martin
Listen to George and Giles Martin discuss making the track, and see behind-the-scenes of how this re-arranged version of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” was created from The Beatles LOVE performance by Eira Glover of Cirque du Soleil.
