Fav Track: In My Life (Rubber)
“For me there is no such thing as 'The Stand out Beatles track' or the quintessential Beatles song, 'cuz they are 'The BeaTles' ,the Legendary ones of the golden age of music, so need i say more!
I think every song they have created has a magical way about it.
'In my Life' is a song, i think, is a reflection, a retro-analysis of who you've been & a recollection of the memories that you cherish most.
It reads like an autobiography describing places & life and death of friends (stuart maybe?) & dear ones of Lennon, presumably, but i believe it very well defines who they were, just as symphonies of mozart or beethoven defines what musical genius they were even today.”
“One of my absolute favourites.
Lennon's thought provoking lyrics and arrangement are perfection. It is so personal, yet almost everyone on this planet who has ever heard the song, can relate to it in his/her own way; & the coda section, holy ****! That has to be the most magical and ethereal music i've ever heard 'in my life.'
Life affirming song ,truly. Period.”

“A Day in the life of Sgt. Peppers lonely hearts club band, with a little help from their friends, went to lucy in the sky with diamonds. She said she was fixing a hole & it was getting better.
"Goodmorning goodmorning!", said lovely rita, " When i am sixty four, i will leave home, within or without you."
*Ultimate Beatles Album.”

“In my life, there was a girl called michelle who drove my car & we went to the norwegian wood where nowhere man said,'' i am looking through you''. But i replied ,''You won't see me.''
But then i thought, 'Wait! If i needed someone it is michelle. So think for youselves & run for your life.'
Does'nt make much sense so figured its a dream in lennon's psychedelic head ;-)
*Btw Rubber Soul = A Folk-Rock Magnum opus.”

“First off, i like their pre-psychedalic era dearly. Thats what catapulated them towards their meteoric rise.
I love their pop songs, they were made to be consumed by the mass which is exactly what happened. But here is the thing, i see or in this case hear, music as an art. I think music is a 'gravity' towards ones true inner soul. Not to get philosophical or anything, but that's what i think. So that would make me a beatlemaniac when the 'mania' finally started to settle. Their experimental era fused music with such surrealist landscape and provided artistic insights, i mean WOW! Almost like a soundtrack to a beautiful dream.
What i missed out in the 67-70s compilation are Rubber Soul & Revolver, released in '65 & '66 respectively, which are among rock & roll's greatest magnum opus and are very, very, very personal favourites of mine.”
