Fav Track: Hey Jude (Past Masters)
“This was the first Beatles single I ever played on a record player. Literally! My parents must have purchased the single after I was born and placed it in a record case given a red number 50 on a tan sticker. Before I could read words, I was attracted to the apple picture on the sleeve. Revolution was one of those wild teenager songs, but Hey Jude was a nice calm song that I could listen to for many minutes before having to turn the record over or get another record.”

“The first time I heard this recording was the summer of 1987. My girlfriend had some old records of her mother's and I was looking over them. One broken dirty 45 RPM single was "My Bonnie" by "The Beatles". It was not on a Capitol label, so I did not know what it was. I took the record home, carefully cleaned it, and snapped the playing surface back to where I could play it. Wow! And after a visit to a book store (these were the days before the internet) I looked the record up and verified it really was the Beatles. The estimated 1987 value was $6 if in good condition. More if there was a picture sleeve. Tammy Z, if you need the record back, I'll be more than happy to hand it back over.”

“This is my favorite track from the Love album. I get goose bumps every time I listen to it. I have them now just thinking about the song.”

“Most of the albums are great, but there is just something about Abbey Road. I never heard the album in full until I was almost out of my teens in the later 1980's. A girl friend asked me if I had ever listened to Abbey Road and hearing that I had not, she suggested I listen to it (thanks Jennifer L. of LC). Two years later my parents were pressuring me as to what I wanted for my birthday. I remembered the conversation and suggested the album of Abbey Road. The first song is my least favorite, but the rest of the album is just poetry in a good way. Friday afternoons I like to start playing the songs at "Here Comes the Sun" and just experience the rest.”
