i dont think we can expect let it be anytime soon, as Paul doesnt want it releasing apparently..as it shows the beatles in a bad light. but it is an historical document, and part of the beatles history so its time for a release... it long overdue!

Yellow Submarine has NOT been out of print for ten years. They pulled it in 2007 because Disney was doing a remake of the film. This is nothing but a disappointing cash grab. As others have mentioned, there is soooo much more they could put out. I hope no one buys this OR the songtrack. Maybe then someone at Apple will realize they can't keep selling the same stuff to us.

This is great news! Plus Michael Lindsay Hogg has said 'Magical Mystery Tour' and 'Let It Be' will both be making their way (FINALLY) to DVD & Blu-Ray sometime in 2013. I think MMT is coming in 2012. Plus 'Yellow Submarine' has been out of print on DVD for over 10 years. A Blu-Ray upgrade will look wonderful, so don't cry baby cry, this is wonderful! :D

as for people moaning about re-packing? what else can they do? until john & george return from the heavens - there can't be anything "original". They could release all of the studio tapes but would you really buy that? I'd love to listen, but ???

fantastic. i remember the film when i was a kid - yes i have the restored vhs version but a blu-ray will be fun.
problem though - tell paul & ringo et al, it is time to release a new "let it be" film with additonal footage and the "recovered" audio that was missing for years. Grow up boys (and girls, yoko & olivia) we have and we know it was a miserable time, but it's historic. thanks

THANK YOU Apple! Now, if only it were re-released in theaters in 3D... That would be something...

Boring. please release something new. not the re-packaged and re-stored material. there is enough material in you archive. what about some concerts from the sixties. the material on the anthologies was awesome. so please restore the shea stadium concert frame by frame and release it. Or "Let it be" or "Magical mystery tour" or "BBC-performances" or "Around the beatles" or

Thanks, but no thanks. I am not buying the same stuff over and over again. Release the promo videos, the Shea concert film, Let It be on Blu-ray or the music as 5.1 DTS-HD on Blu-ray first. Then I will be first in the line. Use your IMAGINATION Apple!!!!

As much as I like YS, I truly hope they left the Hey Bulldog scene out as an option. I miss (what was for me) the original flow of the film as presented on the DVD release. I still have my VHS which is the one I reference most often.
I agree about Let It Be. I've heard talk for several years now about the DVD release. Glad I still have the VHS of that.
