Across The Universe
Recorded on this day, 1968, in Studio 3, Abbey Road Studios. During recording, the band needed female vocals for the harmony - and as none were available in the studio they invited two fans from outside the studio to contribute the line "nothing's gonna change our world". The version with this backing track is featured on Past Masters.

The Beatles Recorded Strawberry Fields Forever at Abbey Road studios. It was the second session recording the track, which was released as a single in February 1967.

On this day in 1967 The Beatles were in Abbey Road studios recording "I Am The Walrus" - shown here in a scene from the film "Magical Mystery Tour".
During the recording session the orchestras played and the backing vocalists recorded the additional vocals...

The Fool On The Hill - October 30 / 31, 1967
Paul was in France filming "The Fool On The Hill" sequence that was used in their film "Magical Mystery Tour".
"I wandered off to France and did the "Fool On The Hill" part one morning with a couple of mates. It wasn't quite "union" - you were supposed to take millions of cameramen, but we didn't want to do that…"
