Paris, 1964
The Beatles played The Olympia for three weeks - with the exception of Hamburg and the Cavern - longer than any other venue. It was in Paris that The Beatles discovered Dylan's album "Freewheelin'", and recorded the German versions of "She Loves You" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand" at the EMI studio in the city.
In Paris they were also to receive a telegram from Capitol Records, informing them that "I Want To Hold Your Hand" had reached Number One in the USA. The seeds of Beatlemania had been sown in America.
